Description
Introducing the Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator, a powerful pedal that redefines the shape of your guitar tone. This prized piece of gear, originally released in the 1980s, offers a unique blend of classic and modern features. Known for producing volume and reverse swells, backward tape sounds, artificially short staccato notes and bowed instrument effects, this pedal gives you synthesizer-like control over the attack and decay of your notes.
What sets this pedal apart is the Poly mode, a modern addition that applies a separate volume envelope to each note you play, allowing for a richer, more nuanced sound. The built-in Harmonix fuzz, now fully controllable with gain, tone, and volume controls, adds harmonic excitement to your music. An effects loop lets you place the volume envelope onto whatever signal is present at the return jack, giving you even more control over your sound. With an expression pedal/CV input and three user presets, you have total command over your Attack Decay!
Key Features:
- Volume envelope manipulation with attack and decay controls
- Mono mode for a single volume envelope that resets with each note
- Poly mode for individual volume envelopes for each note or chord
- Built-in Harmonix fuzz circuit for harmonic enhancement
- Effects loop for added pedals to be affected by the volume envelope
- Expression/CV input to control any knob
- Three savable presets for instant recall
- No battery operation possible. Comes supplied with EHX 9.6DC-200 power supply.

Just impresive!
This effect is one of those I had been trying to obtain for a long. Most of the demos on youtube are just impressive. Personally, I find this stompbox something unique: doubling, sustain, swells, reverse, tremolo, glitch, fuzz. But not like any all other brands effect we know, this EHX it just adds a vibe of all of those sounds. And have store banks, loop, and Exp input. Extremely complex to set up, but if you find a sweet spot, it's kind of amazing.

After a long time of this being on my wishlist, I scooped up a fresh new pedal yesterday, the 26th of June 2024, at one of the remaining Sam Ash stores. (Torrence, CA).
