I've found that hating on people for saying stupid things is much easier, requires less brain function altogether, and seems infinitely cooler.
Yes.
So until I find reason to believe that me knowing anything will change anything, I'll just kind of ignore the stuff that I think require too much thought. Morbid maybe, but I guess that's just a byproduct of our ''glorious country'', and it's ''culture'', and ''society''.
No. That's a bad voting mindset. People think they're vote won't make a difference, but it will, and the same applies to your knowledge to the people you talk politics with. Someone who knows their shit and can make a definitive argument and back it with sources is a man in power.

If we were to enumerate all of them it would probably crash the site
Subjectable, but after four years in office, the majority opinion is that President Barrack Obama is not a very good president and that he is ruining this country. I'd fill you in, but I'd rather research the subject first so that I don't give out any lies.
No idea. I'm just a 17 year old who doesn't have a clue.
Excuse me, but bullcrap excuse. Watch the news in the morning, change between news sites, and never watch local news unless you're looking for traffic, weather, and stories about puppies being saved.
But since I'm American (well, I live in the US...) the news is full of American politics, which seems to always involve a ton of criticism for everyone all around.
Agreed, it's kind of disturbing, but at the very least, the national news networks finally turned to Paris, but after that, It's only ISIS. In my honest opinion, they're only string because of the attention. Go thank Anonymous for being the only ones trying to make an effort. They're taking down Twitter accounts, practically destroys a bunch of propaganda, while the U.S. fumbles about with local shootings.

Anybody want to sell me a Digitech weapon pedal for £50 or under
That's ridiculous, signature tones from a pedal? I call BS.
But to answer your question, no. However, I found a copy on Reverb.com if you're willing to shill out an extra $30.

You're not one of those foreigners that say we should be lucky to have Obama... are you!?
OK, kidding, of course you're not. But this seems a little bit ridiculous. Blocking entry into a country for hate speech? Please give me an argument. No blasting, please, this should be semi-objective.

Gear Update emails - what could be improved??
I noticed this as well, but realise that at times, people submit tons of gear in a single sitting and one eMail gets sent to me that's stuffed with information.
10yover 10 years ago
I remember I was wondering how Steven Chen got his sound. He's from The Airborne Toxic Event, fantastic band, brilliant sound. Some of Steven's gear was submitted by me :D

I am watching youtube with my son and....
Ringo Starr. His look isn't as intense as Johnny, though neither have noses that fat.

I'm considering it, retail is $170, so maybe I can get it off him with $120?
10yover 10 years ago
Wait, has it really been that long? Thank you, but i'm a bit shocked. It just doesn't feel that long (probably because my first submission was 4 months after I registered?).

I'd just like to revive this thread to say I now have this.
Borrowed from a friend, It's supposed to react better to pedals then the Roland G-303.

LINE 6 SPIDER
There's nothing to defend here.
He's loaded though; he can't do a pentatonic,
Probably a newby? Know how long he's been playing?
Speaking of, I knew this one girl who played for seven years, met her at a little park concert. She was playing I-Don't Know-What but she had a Boss RV-5 into a Boss OS-2 to a cheap amp, and she never stopped chopping chords, not even an arpeggio for slow parts. I was absolutely baffled... doesn't she get bored? Don't people like here ever feel the need to get better!? Doesn't she realise distortion goes before reverb!1?/ How can anyone just start guitar and stay at the same low level for seven years !1!?/?
but his Dad bought him, an American Les Paul.
And this, people, is bad parenting in my honest opinion. Reminds me of those scumbags who get sports cars days after their license, it's ridiculous. Piss off, bro, your gas guzzling crap is worth nothing if you're going to crash it soon. Meanwhile, that junker Subaru I drive is still a favourite.
By the way, stick shift for life.

Damn.. just two (and one half) years ago? Doesn't feel that long, but EquipBoard has come a hella long way.

ZING!
This
okay, when you post a reply on a thread, it takes you to the last page o fthe [sic] thread. When you EDIT a post, it takes you back to the first page. I would prefer that it keep you on the page you posted on.
I'm not sure what I can do about that. Do you want me to stop editing?
10yover 10 years ago
I haven't seen a higher res image of that pedal, but they're call Nameless Ghouls, they're in the Band Ghost. Essentially, this is what they look like on stage.
10yover 10 years ago
Fantastic, I'll ID them all later, but I'm still sifting through a gold mine of gear I just found. Thank you!
One more thing I just noticed:

Didn't think someone would be able to spot something like. I can't tell for sure; However, even if you're right, It's not quite that important.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
Few things to talk about:
1) http://equipboard.com/pros/ghost-b-c
This is the official artist page for Ghost, but now that I've done my research I feel the need to create new pages for the individual members. They're marked as Papa Emeritus, Earth Ghoul, Fire Ghoul, etc. Unfortunately, until we can label which band they're in, I will stay with that page.
2) The following artists need to be destroyed:
http://equipboard.com/pros/water
http://equipboard.com/pros/fire
http://equipboard.com/pros/omega
This includes the one submission made to Fire.
3) Where it says "Spot something else in this source? Submit it!", I find it strange that the source is not already filled in when you click that. Anyway to fix this?
4) http://equipboard.com/pros/ghost-b-c/orange-or100-guitar-amp-head
My mistake, wrong amp head, please destroy.
5) What's with all the submissions with no notes? I can't even edit them.

Let's improve item categories (summary of changes)
Also, we need a category for ISO cabinets.
By the way, Deadmau5 plans on fixing his EB page :D
One more thing, rack-mounted effects? Where?

Let's improve item categories (summary of changes)
Personally, I don't understand why people put computers on this site, they're really just a means of getting to a software that is in no way affected by the computer itself.
However, at the very least, it would be good to categorise them.

I don't usually shill my music on the forum unless asked, but....
Dang, those sound really good, but like what was aforementioned, you should raise your voice.
Thought about using your electric in any demoes?

Quick Question On Acoustic Strap Buttons
OK, I give up. I feel really stupid for asking, but how do I find this information? I know the neck is laminated, so does that mean it's been layered by multiple pieces?

Let's improve item categories (summary of changes)
Just noticed this now. Everything is basically the same, except now it can all be further categorised.
I agree with the comment above.
EDIT: http://equipboard.com/items/vht-melo-verb-guitar-effects-pedal
OK, so I just categorised this as a multi-effects because it can go in either reverb or tremolo. What's your take?
MORE EDIT: Another question, I noticed that while it is properly categorised now, it doesn't have any impact on the artist pages. There are still a myriad of pedals on the effects tab. I suggest creating subtabs, such as splitting Effects Pedal to the subcategories, or adding subcategories for guitar as "Electric" and "Acoust" and so on.

What even is the Luminary? Sounds like a Slow Gear and funky octave pedal in one.

This page has been banned in my school drugs, and alcohol content! Probably because Jim used the horrific term "Booze". Shame on you
oh my god that's funny.... but its probably because people keep posting alcohol and bongs as non-musical items
http://equipboard.com/items/bong
It's categorised as a "Jew's Harp" XD

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
Quick question for the mods: if you've heard of Ghost, then you know there are four nameless ghouls.
I can't really find out which one is using which, especially when using sources such as the one here.
Would it be fine to create a page dubbed "Nameless Ghoul" and dump all the gear that any of them used, or stick rigidly to their symbols?
By the way, I've noticed their symbols contain inconsistencies, one of which has disappeared and another swapped for guitarists.

Complaints, Concerns, Errors, Suggestions, and Ideas!
Damn, son, sorry, I'm distracted.
But yes, I'm joking. Unfortunately, I've only met one real female guitarist, but she only has under half a year of practise and ONLY PLAYS CHURCH MUSIC
I'm happy for her, but there's only two other guitarists that don't always play church music, one who loves blues and some metal, the other of which used to be a serious metalhead, at least he looked the part.
Both are guys.
Also, never met a true "gamer girl" in real life. I envy you. Everyone around me is too generic...
EDIT:
you seemed somewhat serious
I get this a lot. Please excuse me.

The forum community is too small. We know each other too well (or as well as a bunch of musicians and music lovers on this gear archive site will allow).
yeah, the core of music nerds who post to the forum regularly is a pool of 10 to 20 guys.... speaking of which, where all the ladies at, yo?
What? Girls can be female AND play guitar?
Very funny, Boom. Next thing you know, you;ll be saying that girls can be female AND play videogames for fun.
We men know such women are myths

Quick Question On Acoustic Strap Buttons
##3 spot on the shoulder
I was thinking about it, then realised there's a battery compartment right there on #3.
Edit: I think I broke Equipboard with that pound symbol.
10yover 10 years ago
You know... I've always wanted a kill switch. Maybe I need to have that put in as well.
I hope when you say killswitch, you mean something like this, and not a literal switch. I have one on my Aria Pro II, just between the two black knobs. It's super noisey when switching and is way too slow for glitchy stuff.
Go for a button, bro.
Back to subject, I want a Little Martin. Though, if I do, I plan on replacing the preamp with an L.R. Baggs. Not sure which, but one that will accentuate the sound of palm hitting wood.
Edit: Wait, that Ed Sheeran model looks even better...

Quick Question On Acoustic Strap Buttons
Probably cost you 30 bucks at a Guitar Center. I'd offer a Luthier 15 bucks.
You bargain? Please, do tell, I've only heard of the concept several times over and it strikes me as strange that people do that in America where it seems the idea is impossible and that everything's fixed by retail price and such (discluding sales).

Quick Question On Acoustic Strap Buttons
No way.
Jim, most bands nowadays are playing standing up, and anyways, I'm really used to it. Though I suppose most older guys aren't. Hell, my guitar teacher has this specialised stool thing he uses to teach acoustic, but even he stands and walks around with his twangy Luna.
To everyone that suggested a luthier, how much would you predict a strap button installation is?
Also, I'd rather just learn now. We all learn from trial and error, and the local luthier is in fact the easy way out (unless you're refretting, fuck that in particular).

Quick Question On Acoustic Strap Buttons
Yup, the way I've grown as a guitarist is a man or woman who sits down to play a live concert must really not want to be there or doesn't care. The alternative is it's either an all-acoustic set, or the kind of music you play demands you sit down.
Either way, I always stand when I play live, so I kind of need to know those measurements.
