In Man With A Mission's performance on The First Take, Jean-Ken Johnny can be seen playing a Jazzmaster. This guitar does not match any currently offered model from Fender, though he is a Fender artist and the headstock clearly shows Fender's name (0:38 timestamp). This guitar is assumed to be a custom request.

The set up of the guitar is similar to that of the Squire Contemporary Jaguar HH ST, though do to the toggle switch placement and lack of additional controls, as well as the dual humbuckers, are a 100% match to the current Player Jazzmaster. The guitar features a very flat top, which is bound in a cream or ivory color. The neck is maple with an ebony fretboard, and a gloss black headstock veneer, matching the color of the rest of the guitar. It features no control covers, much the like Jim Root signature model, and all hardware is silver in color. It features a Fender Stop Tailpiece, rather than the classic Jazzmaster tailpiece. It is unclear what brand the tuners are, but the low string features a D-Tuner (2:25 timestamp).

From having seen the band play live less than a week before this video was uploaded, and having stood directly in front of Jean-Ken during that show, I can say with certainty that he did not bring this guitar on the 2023 US tour with him, or at least didn't play it live during the tour.

In this Instagram post from the current 2023 world tour, Jean-Ken's pedal board can be seen, and a Fractal Audio Systems MFC-101 can be seen front and center. This unit has replaced the Providence PEC-2 he was previously using.

In Man With A Mission's performance on The First Take, Jean-Ken Johnny can be seen playing a black Fender Made In Japan (MIJ) Modern Jazzmaster HH.

The guitar is modified from it's stock state. The pickups have either been replaced or have had their covers removed and a D-Tuner has been added to the low string (2:00 timestamp).

From having seen the band play live less than a week before this video was uploaded, and having stood directly in front of Jean-Ken during that show, I can say with that he did not bring this guitar on the 2023 US tour with him, or at least didn't play it live during that show. Though he has played in live in certain Japanese shows.
