On Josh Rand's pedal board, seen in this interview, he has a DC-Brick to power his pedals.
On Josh Rand's pedal board, there is a Micro POG at the center bottom of the board.
To the left of the Micro POG is a Phase 90. This is the EVH90 model, as the paint work is seen.
To the left of the phaser pedal is the Carbon Copy by MXR.
At the very far left side of Josh Rand's pedal board is the Kirk Hammett signature wah pedal. This is Josh's second most important gear that he uses live.
On Josh Rand's guitars, he uses three different humbuckers, all EMG's. The first is the 81 model.
Josh Rand uses the EMG 85 Active Alnico Humbucker on several of his custom guitars, as demonstrated in the FRET12 YouTube video "Jim Root & Josh Rand of Stone Sour: The Sound and The Story."
Josh use the EMG 60 with the 81 and 85 models in several of his custom guitars.
Moving on to the types of picks used, Josh uses two different picks. The first is the Dunlop Sharp picks.
Also on Josh Rand's artist page for Hughes and Kettner is a Tubemeister amplifier head.
Josh Rand uses the Hughes and Kettner CC 412 A30 Cabinet, as noted on the Hughes & Kettner website.
The second speaker cabinet that Hughes and Kettner say that Josh Rand uses is a 2x12 cabinet.
“So for The Rolling Stones song Gimme Shelter, I used my 1974 Telecaster and a Fender amp. Which is not what I would normally play in Stone Sour! And in fact, my traditional sounds and settings wouldn’t translate well in that song.
In the first 13 minutes of this concert, Josh can be seen using an Ibanez Prestige S5470Q, which was modded with an EMG pickup set.

Josh has a PGM 700 that he uses as a backup. This guitar was ajapan exclusive with only 50 made. Josh found it in the netherlands while he was on tour. this was a guitar he always wanted as a Paul Gilbert fan

Josh has a Dimarzio paf in the neck position of all of his Paul gilbert guitars.
