I forgot to add ths to my board forever.... because its mediocre.
an okay guitar with strat trem, solid lipstick pickups, good fret access but a shredder slim neck. I have had this forever and just feel mediocre about it. I should reneck it to be U shaped and more ME! or sell it. I rarely play this guitar.
SOLD.... when a guitar sits in my closet for YEARS? gotta go

awesome
great grunge, blues, jazz, hard rock, alternative noise making machine. I have the dual humbucker with bigsby and could not recommend it higher. slim wizard neck, 25' scale length, bolt on neck (nicest sanded away heel I have ever seen), 2 dirty humbuckers nickel covered. amazing beast.

you went through a lot of trouble putting buckers in a guitar with lipstick pickups
No. Just. No.
Really?........ click on the photo it's of a DJ who's clearly not Tom DeLonge and there's not a single guitar in the picture, let alone specifically an Ibanez Talman. And I try and add his Signature Fender Strat and get told there's not enough evidence? This site is a joke.

Hello, yes, this evidence thing is really not good here, and I added this photo because I posted the wrong link. However, mods posted this DJ photo, not the one I posted. Here is the photo I posted, also in submission under comments section, you can see the same photo.

However, this evidence thing is really bad by mods. Once upon a time, I posted photo of Joe Walsh using sunburst doubleneck, even more photos, actually. Not enough evidence, denied. I see no reason why one picture is enough evidence. You're right, but this site is not a joke, it's just mods.

Throughout the entire video you can see the guitar being used. Billy used this during the Mellon Collie a good amount. Guitar was made by Ibanez with Billy Corgan but never made into a production model. Guitar was listed and sold on Reverb.com with certificate of authenticity and signed by Billy. Guitar was listed with Heritage Auctions at one time. Links provided.
Jeff was pictured playing a dark green Talman TC620 On February 4th 1997 at The Knitting Factory, just a few months prior to his death. The guitar had a pearloid pickguard, and P-90 pickups.
Sonic Youth's website states, about this Ibanez Talman used by Kim Gordon:

Purchased immediately after the gear theft in July 1999, this was originally played by Thurston during the remainder of the July gigs, then used by Kim for "Lightnin". She seemed to favour it during her solo SYR5 gigs, too. Resurrected for an oddball tuning (yes, "ADG" are all tuned up!) on 'Malibu Gas Station' in 2009, Bigsby now removed. Clearly playing one.
It’s interesting because I started on an RG a long time ago. It just didn’t really suit my style but I feel like the Talman is something I can really relate to and it does inspire me. It’s not like a metal guitar.
The pickups in the Talman inspire really cool melodies, and I feel like I soar on that guitar, both physically and speed-wise, because the necks are so nice and thin.
