When watching Endless, Nameless from the Live and Loud performance, you can clearly see the pedal at 1:41 if you slow the video down.
In the effects pedal section for pat smear it says he kept these on his pedal board.
Pat used an ProCo Rat 2 during the early Foo Fighters (1995-1996/1997) period.
In a user-uploaded photo, Pat Smear's pedalboard with the Foo Fighters prominently features a ProCo RAT pedal. It's unclear if this is a RAT 2 or the original Small Box RAT, similar to what he used during his time with Nirvana.
Kurt Cobain gifted a Tech 21 SansAmp Classic to Pat Smear for his pedalboard. While Pat owns the SansAmp, he opted to use a ProCo Rat during live performances due to personal preference. This is supported by a user-uploaded photo.

In this screenshot of the Tibetan Freedom Concert in 1996, we can see the pedalboard of Pat, it is composed of a ProCo Rat 2 (see one of my previous submission), a Arion Stage Tuner (we can clearly see that it’s the Arion Stage Tuner), a Boss BF-2 (sure it’s the Boss BF-2 because of the shape and color of the pedal but also of the live at Concert Hall 1996, where during the noise part of Exhausted we can ear a Flange effect), and a Digitech Whammy II (sure it’s a Whammy II because of the shape, footswitch, and color of the pedal).
