Since then Synyster Gates has retired the guitar and no longer has it. >I don’t play it nor do I own it anymore. Honestly, I wanted one because of my hero Dimebag but now that I’ve seen the overwhelming effect that it has on people, I can’t be a party to it. I’m not saying that all people that still support the confederate flag support the negative connotations. I just have no excuse being a kid from So-Cal witnessing all the people it offends representing any part of it right, wrong, or indifferent.< (Source: https://syngates.com/threads/syns-confederate-flag-guitar.651/ )

Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates worked with Schecter to design the SYN100 Hellwin Stage 100 Guitar Amp. "We commissioned one of the best amp designers of all time to come in and do this," Gates says in this Guitar Center promo video at (0:20). "James Brown, who did the 5150 for EVH...just a really brilliant and unique guy." In addition to its outstanding dirty tones, the amp excels at clean sounds, and has two different voicings: the USA, a crisp, straightforward sound, and the fuller UK voicing, "I probably use this for the more rock type of stuff," Gates says at (1:03).

Though it has great clean signals, Gates wanted "great breakup, [and] great resonance," (1:30) so the Hellwin cabs are made with all birch wood, "fuckin' thick wood!" (1:38) Gates says. They also come equipped with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. "It cranks, it pushes air. It breaks up unbelievably, and it just has a great resonance to it," he said at (1:40).

The amp's distortion channels come supplied with a specially designed noise gate that keeps the amp quiet when not being played. "We dealt with this particular type of gate that's not this square thing where it just comes in and out," the guitarist said. "It's very forgiving and smooth and delicate, and it just pertains to the distortion channels." (2:00).

Officially announced and dropped on November 23rd, 2020, Synyster Gates released this special guitar limited to only 100 pieces. This guitar has a 3D satin black body with gloss black pinstripes. It also includes his signature Synyster Gates split-coil US-wound pickups and an upgraded Floyd Rose 1500 bridge system on the guitar.

This 3D satin black body with gloss black pinstripes doesn’t just look otherworldly, it sounds that way too. The warmth from the addition of the satin black finish was hoped for, but exceeded all of my expectations. The striking look of the gold accents puts this one into a level of its own easily becoming my favorite of all time. This one has been my main squeeze for the last year. It comes with my super hot, yet warm and articulate, signature Synyster Gates split-coil US-wound pickups. The low radius neck and upgraded Floyd Rose 1500 bridge system allows me to spend all of my time in my imagination and not overcoming physical hurdles. Simply put, I’m in love with my new guitar and I know you will be too.

My promise to you: I will NEVER make another one of these guitars to ensure that our place in shared history will be as sacred and rare as the guitar itself, only appreciating over time.

All of my love, SYN<
