Description
Unleash your inner rock god with the Schecter Hellwin Stage 100, a powerhouse designed for the demanding guitarist seeking uncompromising tone and versatility. This 100-watt amp head, forged with precision, is powered by a commanding quartet of EL34-B tubes alongside a unique blend of preamp tubes, including the JJECC83S, EI12AX7EH, and Ruby 12AX7, delivering a sound that is both fierce and articulate.
What sets the Hellwin Stage 100 apart is its innovative Focus control. Unlike typical amps that merely dampen the input signal for active pickups, the Focus control dynamically adjusts the amp's input frequency response, offering a tailored low-frequency punch and preserving high-end sparkle. This means whether you're wielding a single-coil vintage or a modern humbucker-equipped guitar, your tone remains rich and full.
The amp boasts a dynamic Clean channel with dedicated Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume, Gain, and Vintage Modern controls, allowing for an extensive range of tonal exploration. For those ready to unleash heavier tones, Lead Channel I and II come fully equipped with their own set of Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume, and Gain controls, alongside a shared Variable Noise Gate to ensure pristine clarity.
Further enhancing its versatility, the Schecter Hellwin Stage 100 features a footswitchable effects loop and MIDI capabilities, ensuring seamless integration into any rig setup.

Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates worked with Schecter to design the SYN100 Hellwin Stage 100 Guitar Amp. "We commissioned one of the best amp designers of all time to come in and do this," Gates says in this Guitar Center promo video at (0:20). "James Brown, who did the 5150 for EVH...just a really brilliant and unique guy." In addition to its outstanding dirty tones, the amp excels at clean sounds, and has two different voicings: the USA, a crisp, straightforward sound, and the fuller UK voicing, "I probably use this for the more rock type of stuff," Gates says at (1:03).
Though it has great clean signals, Gates wanted "great breakup, [and] great resonance," (1:30) so the Hellwin cabs are made with all birch wood, "fuckin' thick wood!" (1:38) Gates says. They also come equipped with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. "It cranks, it pushes air. It breaks up unbelievably, and it just has a great resonance to it," he said at (1:40).
The amp's distortion channels come supplied with a specially designed noise gate that keeps the amp quiet when not being played. "We dealt with this particular type of gate that's not this square thing where it just comes in and out," the guitarist said. "It's very forgiving and smooth and delicate, and it just pertains to the distortion channels." (2:00).
