It is solid, it works well, just the this mk1 version if you want to save yourself some money.
I am a fan of RME, as they don't seem to colour the sound and they give a very workable clean signal at a reasonable realistic price point. The drivers are rock solid, I never had an issue with restarting it or any other strange noises coming through.
It works like a charm with Ableton. Of course this is to be expected, but it really makes using Ableton on the fly more fun and intuitive. I would not use it to finish out a project, but certainly to get the creative process started.
I needed a smaller masterkeyboard because I was moving to London and rent prices for small flats cost a fortune. This keyboard does this very well for me. I am not so much a controller guy, so the Native keyboard would be overkill, but I have mapped the faders and buttons to a few of my favourite soft synths, and it works just well, especially at that price point.
This thing just sounds amazing to me. I love it on the drums, it makes them nice and punchy. And you have got a sidechain input, which makes it amazing if you want to sidechain your synth in the real world :)
This thing is well over 15 years old I believe. I bought it used on ebay, and it still works flawlessy to this day... I never had a problem with it, it never gets too hot and it just works... I normally completely forget about it being there, it is that good :)
Well what can I say about a knob? I am quite happy that the case it metal and it seems sturdy enough for my likings. (I hate flimsy plastic cases). However, it could be slightly heavier, as the cables and plugs going in it are heavier if you are using Neutrik stuff, so I had to tape it down to my table to avoid it falling down. The Mute button leaks a bit of sound, and so does the knob as well. It crackles after 3 years of use as well, when touched.
This is a very good and workable sounding interface at an amazing price point. You definitely won't feel bad buying this, as it just works and sounds great.

DAWs 3

If I need good ideas and I have an idealess day, Ableton's workflow helps me to come up with something unique. I am normally used to the linear workflow of normal DAW's, so this makes me think in new ways, and therfore I come up with different ideas. So great software in that regard.

I have been using this for years now. I don't own a lot of Behringer equipment as I am a bit cautious, but this one is hands down a very reliable product.

one of my favourite mics for all sorts of applications, even for vocals it sounds amazing! I can definitely recommend this!
I have the 12core Macpro maxed out with 128GB of ram and SSD drives. It just works fine for my needs.
Some people find them harsh, but this harshness helps me with my mixing a lot. A lot of people are saying that they don't sound flat... I don't believe that any speaker is perfectly flat, anything is a compromise. Get used to your speakers and you can mix on them. Their job is to reveal things, and these ones certainly do the job.
The Sure SM58 is around since decades and has not changed since. It is super robust, always delivers a workable sound and is still affordable unlike other pieces of professional hardware. My SM58's survived rainfall, sandstorms and really high drops, and they still work. So if you are looking for a performance microphone to use on gigs, this is the cheapest good option. It is even possible to record with those mics in the studio, which is unbeatable at that price point. A really expensive condenser microphone is probably going to sound crisper and cleaner in the studio, but sometimes it is more about the content and the creativity, so don't let that hold you back.
This synth is one of my favourite classic ones as well! The value is not great which makes it easier for people to pick up. But be aware that the programming matrix with those buttons takes some time getting used to.
This is one of those secret tips in my opinion. The case and the design are pretty horrible, and it is not the easiest to use, but it sounds great if you know how to get those sounds out of it!
It is not the most beautiful piece of equipment, and that is down to colour and form factor. However, most of the case is made out of metal which I like. The quality is really good, but it is really heavy. The keyboard is very nice to play which I love, so I would recommend this keyboard to any piano player out there at that price point.
