recently got one in hand
- amazing speedy neck
- clear tone, but gain could have been better
- 35" i.e. longer scale length can be a challenge for some bassists
- heavy weight
- great value for money
- great hardwares
- the tone is a bit clicky, i.e. missing the midrange due to Fieldy's preference
Nice tone and neck profile (though a bit broad) and not to forget the great gotoh tuners
Amplifiers 2
Effects Pedals 19
quite cheap, so a low regret option for beginners
has loads of tones that can be molded and tweaked to get quite close to the desired tone
you don't need anything else live if you have this monster in your rig
- amazing eq, drive options
- great build
Studio Equipment 2
does the work
the knobs are well thought out
the usb connection port a bit weak
Strings 3
warm tone, suitable for down tuning, but rusts quickly
warm sound, suitable for down tuning but corrodes quickly
Other Gear 15
midrange monitors that suits home recording needs, so might be running a bit short on low frequencies, but thats still quite a quality for the bucks
heats up too much
power LEDs almost invisible
nice bright and mid sound, quite full
plus comes with a nice preamp/eq and Graphtech nut
the only limitation might be the top is not flat (not sure if its too thin to fit in the budget), not sure if its the model since all the guitars that I checked had the same issue
Came in stock with my Ibanez SR500, which I used to replace the ADX5 pickup on my Ibanez K5. It blended nicely with my K5 (older model with Padauk top) with fathomless soothing lows and tight midrange (exceptionally for single coil type) . I still find them every now and then as used at Reverb... interestingly Bartolini won't sell/list them on their website but more than 50% of their Ibanez artist roster mentions of using these

The neck is so fast and smooth... the operation is easy apart from that sexy look...great bang for price... perfect for intermediate players
this is a discontinued model, don't be confused with the current ibanez sr1200 premium model
neck through, golden hardwares
eq similar to current ibanez 3 (vari-mid) band eqs
bridge more suitable for funk players as a bit close towards the neck rather than the common ibanez sr models
along with the hardware this has plugins as pod farm and gear box, and especially I'm a big fan of gearbox, can save tons of money to buy plugins yet deliver you decent tone for bass and guitars
- great value for money
- the bartolini electronics allow to play between any genres, although low end a bit muddy
- the tone could have been punchier if the body mass was more
- Punchy tone
- faced difficulties getting used to the longer 35" scale length
