Love of my life. (Please do see my notes on dating this guy)
**before I get raked for my loose dating please-try & date this era of Ludwig Drums. They're notoriously difficult unless you're ready to go psycho gear dork on it. I feel I've done at least a responsible job, tho I don't have more than the 5 hours I've spent to go any further. It's kept me from adding it & for ages- I feel I've done a fair job, so up it goes-I bought this when I had a fuckin hotmail email address, better than 15-20 years ago.
Phew! That outta the way! Drums! Drums are bitchin'! These drums tho? These were a labor of love-Labor being the operative word. Saved & got my dream kit. I started as a drummer so, yeah. You get it. It requires effort to make this kit sound bad. Here is where I gotta say that with my experience & view now all these years later? I can nearly always get a fuckin' wicked sound outta a cobbled together "shitty" kit given the time. Like all great tools tho, the greatest tools reduce the effort required to get that magical sound. This is that kinda magic. I dunno & honestly don't care how much it might sell for now, cuz yeah-no fuckin' way I'll sell it. Not just because of years on the road it's not gonna be valued for its sound but for its fuckin' "cosmetics". I would pause before buying it now tho most likely-if it's overpriced/inflated like so much gear is now. You can get a killer sound outta almost anything-if you get a reasonable shot at this era? DO IT.
22" Kick 3 piece kit looks damn near identical to the photo down to the rail for the rack Tom.
Parting note-I also have a Ludwig Supraphonic Snare as well but, best as I can figure it's a 71-73ish? With respect to the Equipboard community I'm gonna add that separate soon as I feel I've done my best to date it.
