Disclaimer: I got this for free, as Arturia gave it out during one holiday season.

If Native Instrument's Raum was the glorious spacial madness that everyone liked (that they ALSO gave away!), then this is the down-to-earth realistic one that sits well in pretty much any mix.

This has pretty much become my go-to reverb. It (along with a fancy mixing trick involving setting up separate pre-delay lanes in your sends and summing it all up within one instance of this plugin), has managed to sit well in literally any mix I've put it in. It's there, you can tell it's there, but it's... just tame. And that's exactly what I'd like out of a reverb.

I didn't know the separate delay lines was fancy LOL... its just what we always did when I was an assistant.... with as many lexicon nd AMS units as you had! I try to explain to kids that this is how they got a record like depeche mode's violator sounding so deep with DI synths but they don't get it. Its totally UNremarkable....

jimmarchi1

additionally on Arturia's plate.... the EMT setting is scary good. I've worked with an actual EMT, its right in there. They gave you a lot, and I eman a lot of what you might have as add ons to shape the plate as you print it. Although I tend to disable everything on this gu and return it through a virtual channel to compress and EQ like I would on a large format console... but their modulation for the 80s plate sound? superb. The only plugins in front of it that come close are also arturia effects.
