Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Blackmachine B7.

Comparisons

  • Multiscale guitars like the Ormsby HypeGTR7 offer balanced tension across all strings, unlike the Blackmachine B7, which can require custom gauges for optimal playability.

    Source

Features and functionality

  • Multiscale lengths around 27-25.5 inches are considered ideal for 7-strings, providing tight low-end and manageable high string tension.

    Source

User experience

  • A Blackmachine B7's standard scale can lead to muddy low strings, necessitating gauge adjustments, whereas multiscale setups maintain clarity and tension balance.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • Multiscale is preferred for varied tunings, as trem-equipped guitars need rebalancing for each tuning change.

    Source
  • Non-multiscale 7-strings are suitable for standard tuning and low B but may feel floppy in drop tunings without thicker strings.

Really nice guitar

Close to the skervesen raptor 7 series. Nice fast neck and easy to setup. The only thing for me is that i had to change the pickups to match another guitar
