Decent quality low priced 12AX7 tubes.

My VHT Special 6 Ultra uses these tubes. A pair of these tubes does cost more than a quad of 6N2P-EV tubes that I use in my RedBear Mk120 amp, but they are still pretty low priced by 12AX7 standards. They are quite reliable too.
