Description
The MXR M294 Sugar Drive Mini Effects Pedal is a noteworthy addition to any guitarist's arsenal. This compact, yet versatile overdrive pedal is designed to enhance your guitar's natural tone, taking it from clean to a rich, smooth overdrive. The Drive control and voltage doubler are key features of its unique circuit design, providing a clear, transparent range of tones.
The Drive control allows a smooth transition from clean to dirty by blending the overdrive effect with your clean signal as you increase the drive. The voltage doubler, on the other hand, elevates the overall headroom, opening up a spectrum of tones from uncolored boosting to a full-bodied overdrive. It's like adding a pinch of sugar to your favorite meal, enhancing its flavor without changing its essence.

It comes equipped with a Buffer switch that allows you to toggle between true and buffered bypass, catering to the taste of every player. The MXR M294 Sugar Drive is housed in a compact mini casing, saving precious space on your pedalboard while delivering the performance of much larger pedals.

Great For tone Shaping
If you want the boost function of the Klon, this is it. This is great for pushing those upper mids, and taming the bottom end just enough to really make sure you're sitting just right in the mix. I don't use it with the drive turned up, I'm sure that sounds fine, but I don't think this particular Klone was meant for that sort of thing. It seems very happy to act as a tone shaper and conditioner and be the foundation of your sound, rather than doing it all. I run it into a Bluesbreaker, and it's been my core sound for years.

Great pedal, worth the price
This isnt the best Klone, but for the price, youll be hard pressed to find one with the versatility and tone of this one. Its very small, so it fits on the pedalboard easily, and the tone and drive knobs react in the way that the original Klon reacts. The optional buffer is a feature that many other Klones do not have. I dont use this often. I usually use this as a boost for solos, or to add an extra flavor to a clean tone. I dpersonally dont put the gain terribly high, but it sounds good at almost any level.

My favorite Klone
Awesome bang fort he buck Klon like pedal. Can go from boost to higher levels of gain, sounds great in any context and stacks well with other pedals. It's built like a tank and sounds better than most of the Klon Klones I've played and owned. It's my go to drive for tightening up rhythms and/or lead work. Cuts through a mix really well and has a ton of gain/volume on tap with that signature Klon tone. I don't have much negative to say really, it's easy to use, sounds great and has this "it" factor if that makes any sense? Highly Recommend.

Amazing little sugar box.
Glistening clean crunch and incredible output from such a small enclosure. Reasonably priced too.

Enhance your sound. Clear and sparkling, with a touch of magic.
Places after my od, it's an always on pedal that enhances your sound (clean and dirt).

A cult classic buy
This tone pedal gets more tones then you can think. It’s unbelievable and if you use a peavy viper distortion setting with the volume all the way up on the pedal this thing kicks ass. My neighbors just love me
