Engl Amps Invader 150 Head review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Engl's Invader 150-watt Guitar Amp Head is a powerhouse amp that delivers exceptional tone across its four channels, suitable for both rhythm and lead work. Its standout features include a wide range of sounds, superb MIDI implementation, and seamless switching with low noise levels. However, its 150-watt output is overkill for all but professional musicians playing in large venues, and it lacks a low power option for smaller gigs. Despite its complexity, the amp is user-friendly with a logically arranged control layout and a superb manual. Overall, it's a versatile, high-quality amp that excels in professional settings.

Unique amp in the amp world

Try it. It is punchy, tight, has a gate, many channels. I always was happy with it but getting the poweramp in saturation doesn't fir very well to the amp or engl in general. Modern Rock and Metal is great. Stonerrock and blues doesn't work ... and this amp has the best Cleanchannel ever if you look for completely clean brilliant sounds
