It's not terrible, it's just something I wouldn't recommend.
Epiphone at one point produced "fender-style" guitars and basses: the S(stratocaster) series for guitar and the Accu(precision) series for bass. The "batwing headstock" version of the Accu bass series are not particularly fantastic basses, the body is decent and the pickups are not that bad. The neck however is rather piss-poor and can be uncomfortable to play, I considered swapping the crappy Epiphone neck for a Fender neck but at that point I just decided "fuck it, I'm just gonna trade this for a Fender P bass." There are many precision bass copies out there of excellent quality, this is not one of them.
