David Kennedy's guitar is often confused with the Gibson Dave Grohl ES 335 because of the Diamond Cut f-holes derived from the Gibson Trini Lopez model. However, the Limited Custom Shop ES-335 Diamond Edition was built in 2006 and came in white, while the 1st Dave Grohl run was not announced until 2007, and came in Pelham Blue and Ebony and then released again in 2014 in Pelham Blue and Metallic Gold. Another design difference to take note of is the Custom white ES David Kennedy plays has the common Gibson headstock while the Dave Grohl model has the Firebird style six-a-side headstock.
