Description

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass is a masterclass in delivering classic tone with modern playability. This short-scale bass is a nod to the iconic Gibson EB-0 of the late '50s, yet it stands firmly in today's musical landscape with its thoughtful enhancements. The 30.5-inch scale length offers a slinky feel that bassists love, especially with the easy access provided by its double-cutaway design. This bass's mahogany body resonates with warmth, while the maple neck with a rosewood fretboard ensures a smooth playing experience.

Whether you're aiming for the deep, booming lows or the bright, articulate highs, this pickup delivers versatility with a twist. Thanks to the push-pull master volume control, you can easily switch to single-coil tones, providing a broad palette of sounds right at your fingertips.

Moreover, the Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass is equipped with a robust 3-point adjustable bridge, enhancing sustain and tuning stability, while Hipshot tuners ensure your tuning stays rock-solid. Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute Doublecut Bass Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass offers a solid build and versatile sound, making it a worthy addition for studio and live players alike. Its short scale provides a unique tonal character, with a warm, punchy output that excels in various genres. However, those seeking more snap may find the tone control a bit too subtle for their taste. Overall, it’s a well-crafted instrument that beautifully blends nostalgia with modern functionality, but may not cater to every player's sonic preferences.

Gibson Les Paul Jr DC Tribute DC Bass review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass brings vintage vibes with its authentic look and solid playability, making it a joy for those who appreciate classic design. Its compact, short-scale build is perfect for portability and comfort, but potential buyers should be aware that its small dimensions may not suit everyone, especially those used to heavier instruments. While the single humbucker offers a rich, thunderous tone, the limited control options might frustrate players seeking versatility. Overall, this bass is an affordable nod to Gibson's storied past, ideal for musicians who enjoy straightforward, old-school sounds.

positive

Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute Doublecut Bass review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

A short-scale marvel, the Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute Doublecut Bass offers vintage warmth and rich tones that are a joy to play. Its robust build and appealing finishes enhance the overall experience, making it a fun choice for many bassists. However, its short scale may deter some players, particularly slap enthusiasts, and the weight can be cumbersome. While the single humbucker delivers impressive low-end rumble, it may lack the versatility some musicians crave. Overall, this bass shines in classic genres but might feel limiting for those seeking modern performance.

Absolute monster.

This one is a surprice. I was looking for a short scale for sometime. Easier to travel, lighter, you get the drill. I've came across LowEndLobsters review of this bass and I was blown away, so I decided to buy one.

Next thing you know, it bacame my main bass, I used it in studio, live. it became my main go to instrument. It sounds loke a beefed up precision, and it cuts through the mix like a burning knife! It's a sleeper. If you a precision guy, just buy one, you'll not regret that decision. The neck is one of the smoothest and fastest I've ever played.

I just love this instrument sooooo much.
