Description

The Gretsch G6120SHPTV Brian Setzer Purple Hot Rod is more than just an instrument; it's a statement piece for any guitarist seeking an authentic rockabilly experience. This semi-hollowbody electric guitar combines classic Gretsch craftsmanship with modern playability, designed in collaboration with iconic musician Brian Setzer. Built to deliver a blend of vintage resonance and contemporary clarity, it features a sleek, comfortable body that is engineered for effortless play.

At the heart of the Brian Setzer Purple Hot Rod are the TV Jones Classic pickups, renowned for their ability to produce that coveted 'twang' while maintaining a warm, full-bodied sound. Whether you're diving into a gritty blues riff or a smooth jazz melody, these pickups ensure your sound is rich and expressive. The guitar's elegant Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece offers smooth pitch modulation, giving your playing an added layer of texture and versatility.

The stripped-down controls—just a single volume knob—allow you to focus on your music rather than toggling with excessive settings, providing a clean, uncluttered interface perfect for both stage and studio environments. The Gretsch G6120SHPTV is a seamless fusion of style and substance, celebrating the legacy of rock 'n' roll while pushing musical boundaries.

This Gretsch Hot Rod Purple was owned by legendary rockabilly guitarist Brian Setzer

This is another older purple Hot Rod, that I pushed the mud switch in on (notice the hole). This is before Gretsch starting making them without the extra switch. It was tweaked by TV Jones to my specs.” -Brian Setzer
