Hagstrom Retroscape H-III review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

A superbly retro guitar, the Hagström Retroscape H-III shines with its versatility, ideal for punk, thrash, and lo-fi blues. While it boasts a multitude of tonal options, some quirks, like a stiff Tremar vibrato and a somewhat thin-sounding bridge, may deter purists. Overall, it's a creative option for musicians seeking a unique sonic path rather than a classic Strat sound.

Hagstrom Retroscape H-III review

guitar.com

Hagström's Retroscape H-III beautifully marries nostalgic design with modern functionality, delivering a captivating sound palette and excellent playability. Its vintage-inspired aesthetics and versatile pickup configuration offer a wide range of tones, from bright twang to rich warmth. However, the tremolo system may not withstand aggressive bends, and minor finish flaws could deter some purists. Overall, this guitar stands as a commendable homage to its roots with enough contemporary flair to satisfy modern players, making it a compelling choice for those seeking both style and substance.

great guitar.

bought it while on my most recent tour. mine had a 3 tone sunburst finish. Complicated circuitry is something I love and this definitely has that, and the whammy bar is like a bigsby or Jazzmaster Tremolo, and I love those so I love this guitar. recommend it I do.
