JBL Eon 515XT

soundonsound.com

JBL's Eon 515XT is a standout in the portable PA market, boasting impressive power and clarity in a lightweight design, making it a top choice for versatile live sound applications. With its built-in mixer and EQ, it's user-friendly and adaptable, even serving well as an instrument amp or standalone PA. Though not the smallest, its compact form makes handling easy, bolstered by excellent carrying handles. While the rounded design may complicate stacking, its performance and aesthetic improvements far outweigh this minor inconvenience. An excellent evolution of the Eon line for any modest-sized event.

Review: JBL EON 515XT — AudioTechnology

audiotechnology.com

The JBL EON 515XT shines with improved sound quality, lightweight design, and efficient operation, making it a market favorite. Its three-channel mixer and excellent voicing offer flexibility for various uses. However, the awkward mic/line switch and limited mic input could be inconvenient. With a modern look and a price of $1399, it delivers great value, despite subjective aesthetics. Perfect for live sound and music playback, this model is a solid upgrade to a classic series.

Solid, easy to carry, great sound

It's usually a given, is it not, that anything with the JBL moniker will likely be worth the money? These are no exception. 600+ watts of clear, loud, punchy sound with a no nonsense input mixer and basic hi - lo tone control. The rest is up to you and what you put through it. As the industry saying goes, the initials stand for "Just Bloody Loud"
