Great for large vintage synth collections
This interface allows me to have all of my monotimbral synths connected to my midi interface without having to patch them when I want to use them. Of course I can only use 16 because of the limitations of the midi protocol at once but I doubt it would every approach that number. I spoke to John from Kenton and NAMM and he assured me that the sheer number of thru ports does not add anything to the midi latency with the Thru-25, the ultimate midi thru box.
