The Big Review: Manson Meta Series MBM-1

guitar.com

Manson's Meta Series MBM-1 delivers a potent blend of rock power and affordability, perfectly catering to Muse fans and aspiring guitarists alike. With its high-gain capabilities, sleek aesthetics, and smooth playability, this instrument excels in delivering punchy tones and clear clean sounds. However, the absence of fretboard markers may challenge some players, and the lack of a gig bag at the base price could be seen as a drawback. Ultimately, the MBM-1 stands out as a versatile workhorse for modern rock, but potential buyers should weigh its quirks against their playing style.

Manson Meta MBM-1 review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Manson Meta Series MBM-1 delivers a striking blend of comfort and cutting-edge design, making it a solid choice for modern rock enthusiasts. With its soft V neck profile, well-balanced body, and a fun kill switch, it excels in playability and versatility. However, the absence of a coil-split or single-coil option is a notable downside for those seeking tonal variety. Overall, it’s a fantastic, affordable guitar that doesn’t skimp on quality, but a few extra features could have taken it to the next level.

Manson Guitar Works Meta Series MBM-1 Guitar Review – Guitars For Idiots

guitarsforidiots.com

The Manson Meta Series MBM-1 is a solid entry into the signature guitar market, particularly appealing to Muse fans. Its lightweight basswood body and smooth hard maple neck make it a pleasure to play, with commendable tonal versatility from its humbucker pickups. While it excels in playability and comfort, some may find the lack of dot inlays and muted finish a drawback. Despite being a bit of a tonal jack-of-all-trades, it shines when cranked up for high-gain sounds. At a price point of $599.99, it delivers good value, though it may not fully satisfy those seeking a truly versatile instrument. Overall, it’s a fun, well-constructed guitar with unique features that could fit nicely into any player's arsenal.

Manson META Series MBM-1 Matthew Bellamy Signature Guitar | REVIEW - Guitar Interactive Magazine

guitarinteractivemagazine.com

The Manson Meta Series MBM-1 is a strikingly affordable homage to Matthew Bellamy's signature style, impressing with its solid build quality and engaging sonic capabilities. While it may not boast the extravagant features of higher-end models, its authentic design and versatile pickups deliver a satisfying experience for fans of Muse. The inclusion of a kill-button and a compound radius fretboard enhances playability and creativity. However, the factory action is slightly high and lacks the option to split humbuckers, which might dissuade purists. Overall, this guitar offers a fantastic entry point for those seeking to capture the essence of Bellamy’s sound without breaking the bank.

Best mid-range guitar I've played

It's built really well, the pickups are great, the matte finish feels hard-wearing and the silver makes it stand out. It holds tuning well, has locking tuners, and the addition of the kill button is a fun nod to Matt Bellamy's on-board effects. I got mine ex-demo for <£300 which was an absolute steal for the amount of guitar you get.
