Description

The Numark Mixtrack Pro FX 2-channel DJ Controller is a state-of-the-art DJ controller, designed to inspire and develop your DJ skills. This controller is based on Numark's popular Mixtrack Pro platform, and it’s packed with features that will help you create unforgettable DJ sets.

With large 6" capacitive-touch jog wheels, the Mixtrack Pro FX makes it easy to emulate the feel of vinyl for scratching, cueing, and pitch bending. The rugged grooves on the jog wheel allow you to nudge your mix into perfect sync and accurately place cues.

The Mixtrack Pro FX also features 16 multi-colored, backlit performance pads that let you trigger Hot Cues, Auto Loops, Samples, and Fader Cuts with just the touch of a pad. Four pad mode buttons provide dedicated access to each pad mode, allowing you to remix, mash up, and reinterpret your tracks on the fly.

In addition, this controller comes with six dedicated FX buttons—Echo, Reverb, Flanger, Phaser, HPF, and LPF—that provide one-touch access to essential effects for crafting seamless transitions and adding your own unique flair. Two premium paddle triggers offer effortless control over Serato's built-in software FX.

Finally, the Mixtrack Pro FX includes a comprehensive mixer section with dedicated 3-band EQ, filter knobs, channel faders, and a crossfader for each deck. It also features an onboard mic input and headphone output, and it comes with Serato DJ Lite for access to streaming music from TIDAL and SoundCloud.

Numark Mixtrack Pro FX Review - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

The Numark Mixtrack Pro FX is a solid entry-level DJ controller that excels in user-friendliness and features designed for beginners. It boasts impressive jogwheels and an intuitive layout, making mixing a breeze. The innovative paddle FX control adds a fun twist to effects manipulation, though it limits users to one effect at a time, which may frustrate more experienced DJs. While the build quality is decent for the price, it's not meant for heavy club use. Additionally, the bundled Serato DJ Lite software has functional limitations that could hinder creativity. Overall, the Mixtrack Pro FX is a fantastic choice for newcomers, but those seeking advanced features might want to explore higher-end models.

Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX & Mixtrack Pro FX Review - Crossfader

wearecrossfader.co.uk

Numark's Mixtrack Pro FX delivers an impressive array of features for beginner DJs, boasting excellent jog wheels and a professional feel that belies its budget price. The layout is well thought out, enhancing usability, while the inclusion of effects and performance pads is a standout for this category. However, the dim LED backlighting on the pads can be a drawback, making visibility tricky during live performances. Additionally, while it lacks standalone mixer capabilities, it remains a strong contender for those looking to elevate their DJ skills without breaking the bank. Overall, it's a fantastic entry-level controller that offers great value.

Review: Numark’s new Mixtrack Pro FX + Platinum FX controllers - DJ TechTools

djtechtools.com

Numark's Mixtrack Pro FX and Platinum FX controllers are solid contenders in the budget DJ controller arena. Both models boast upgraded features like paddle triggers and fader cuts, enhancing performance for entry-level DJs. While the Pro FX excels in portability and price, the Platinum FX offers a richer feature set, including four-deck mixing and jog wheel displays. However, the thin EQ knobs and the removal of dedicated FX buttons may frustrate some users. Additionally, the MIDI mapping issues with Serato could deter serious DJs. Still, for beginners looking to hone their skills, these controllers offer impressive value, making them worthy purchases.

Sounding Off: Numark Mixtrack Pro FX & Mixtrack Platinum FX

djtimes.com

The Numark Mixtrack Pro FX and its sibling, the Platinum FX, deliver impressive features for beginner and advancing DJs, boasting solid build quality, large jog wheels, and a well-thought-out effects section. However, the lack of a center-click for pitch sliders and no dedicated hardware crossfader curve control may frustrate more experienced users. Still, their affordability and functionality make them excellent choices for those looking to elevate their DJ game. The Platinum FX stands out with its jog wheel displays, but both models are strong contenders in the budget-friendly DJ controller market.
