Review & Video: Numark Mixtrack Quad DJ Controller

digitaldjtips.com

The Numark Mixtrack Quad offers a budget-friendly entry into four-channel DJing with its intuitive setup and responsive jogwheels. While it shines with its color-coded interface and Slip mode feature, the cramped EQ knobs and lack of gain controls may frustrate some users. Tied to Virtual DJ LE, it misses out on the flexibility of Serato integration, limiting software options. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a compelling choice for those prioritizing four-deck control at an affordable price. A solid pick for beginners ready to explore multi-channel mixing.

Numark Mixtrack Quad Review: A Step Up for Value Gear

crossfadr.com

The Numark Mixtrack Quad is a commendable leap for beginner and casual DJs seeking quality on a budget. It expands on the Pro II with four channels, 16 chromatic pads, and customizable platters, offering a full mixing experience that encourages creativity. While sticking to basics like track mixing and effects, its intuitive design ensures quick adaptability. Integration with Virtual DJ LE adds versatility, though it may require an upgrade for advanced features. As a starter piece, it provides excellent value, making it an ideal choice for those looking to bypass the Pro II or upgrade from it.

Numark Mixtrack Quad Review – DJBooth

djbooth.net

The Numark Mixtrack Quad is a budget-friendly, four-deck DJ controller that impresses with its sleek design and vibrant multi-color LED pads. It's user-friendly and comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE, making it ideal for beginners. However, its all-plastic build demands careful handling, and it lacks gain knobs and level meters, which can be a setback in live performances. Despite limited inputs/outputs, this controller is a solid entry-level option for those looking to explore digital DJing with four-channel control right out of the box.

Good all round controller.

Cue button isn't as responsive as I get from cdjs but build quality issues are to be expected at this price range. Very good value for money. Good entry level. I have used this DJing in clubs and it was...sufficient.

Update: Later editions, and updates to software have greatly improved the accuracy of features in this controller.
