Soundtrap by Spotify is a solid entry for beginners looking to record and collaborate online, boasting user-friendly features and a vast sound library. However, the platform's limitations become apparent for more advanced users, with essential tools locked behind a paywall and frequent app crashes reported. While its collaborative capabilities shine, the need for a tech-savvy approach can frustrate newcomers. Ultimately, aspiring musicians may find it a suitable starting point, but professionals might find it lacking compared to industry standards like Pro Tools or Logic Pro.

2/5 "Gets the job done."

"Coming from Soundation to this was a nightmare. Barely any good VST, loops or anything. Sure, I made some hits on this" Swr.ratGRL's entire third album was produced with this over the span of a week. https://www.bandlab.com/swr_ratgrl/albums/7ac90a81-0dff-ec11-b47a-501ac5bd13cd "but it was a chore. And don't even get me started on the forced mastering."

Preferred Settings + Usage:

"The one thing I did like about this was that you could individually pitch sounds and stretch them."
