Indestructible travel guitar.

And I MEAN it. Rowdy travelers may be easily subdued by a couple quick swings of this solid axe. Big thick baseball bat neck but wonderfully buttery smooth fretwork and phenolic resin fretboard. The EMGs it came with I ripped out since they sounded horrid and put in X2Ns, but I may change that again in the future.

The Steinberger Synapse Transcale ST-2FPA Custom was used to record King Gizzard's 24th studio album 'PetroDragonic Apocalypse...' This was confirmed in a Reddit AMA on r/Indieheads:

"Most of the guitar was recorded with a headless Steinburger with active pickups straight into a Fender Hotrod Deluxe on the drive channel. We did some overdubs with the Holy Explorer and Joey's Flying V. No pedals on the whole album - stu"

It can be seen in the music video for 'Dragon', with Ambrose goofing around with it at 1:48.

Pretty sure Amby/Joey bought this 2013 Baritone Steinberger Synapse ST-2FPA at Found Sound in Melbourne, Australia. Although Amby plays it in the dragon video I've also added a photo of Joey using the same one in the studio (presumably recording PDA) so there must be some nuts baritone guitar hidden in the album :)
