Description
Introducing the Sterling by Music Man Mariposa Electric Guitar in Imperial White. Crafted in collaboration with Omar Rodríguez-López, renowned guitarist of The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, this guitar promises not only an aesthetic marvel but also an arsenal of premium features. Its distinctive body shape and pickguard add a visual edge, while the roasted maple neck, locking tuners, and two humbucking pickups with individual volume controls ensure versatile tones fitting any style.
The Mariposa's roasted maple neck offers unmatched stability and superior tone. The roasting process chemically alters the maple to minimize moisture and prevent warping, resulting in a neck that remains straight and resonant. Coupled with a slim profile, 22 frets, and a 25.5" scale length, this neck ensures effortless playability.
The inclusion of two humbucking pickups allows you to shape your sound to perfection. The bridge pickup offers tight, articulate tones with compressed highs for rhythm playing, while the neck pickup delivers warm, rounded sounds with enhanced lows for solos. A three-way switch lets you select the bridge pickup, neck pickup, or blend both together, while two separate volume controls enable you to fine-tune the output of each pickup and strike the perfect balance between brightness and warmth.
The vintage-style tremolo adds a touch of expressiveness to your sound. Six individually adjustable saddles let you customize the intonation and action according to your preferences. When paired with the Mariposa's locking tuners, the tremolo bridge facilitates traditional guitar warbles and shimmers without compromising tuning stability.

Amazing Neck
First and foremost, the neck on these guitars are higher quality than most guitars over $1000..roasted maple, smooth frets, block inlays..Goes from D to C shape near shoulder.. Cool retro look and lightweight..tuners are really nice and are Pearl to match well with headstock.. There are no tone knobs..just 2 volume knobs for each Humbucker.. Cons: Wiring/Pots (lowest of the low) Easily fixable..Neck Humbucker hotter than Bridge..Neck pickup sounds ok clean, horrible with distortion..Bridge pickup is opposite..pickups are unique(low profile) and no need to swap out..changed the wiring and put in a Seymour Duncan potentiometer to have a nice volume taper with no static, and that gives you a kill switch for this guitar! Highly recommended..It’s like a Jazzmaster and Tele thrown together

Killer guitar for stage use
This is my main guitar in my live rig and this thing sounds incredible right out of the box, especially after a setup. The neck is slightly thick for my tastes, but the playability and tone make up for it in spades, not to mention the value for the price point.
