Critic Reviews

Sterling by Musicman JP60

guitarinteractivemagazine.com

The Sterling by Music Man JP60 impresses with its high standards despite being a budget-friendly option. Its Indonesian assembly, followed by a quality check in the US, ensures solid craftsmanship. The JP60 boasts a basswood body and a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, providing comfort and playability. The SBMM hardware, including locking tuners and a modern tremolo, offers excellent tuning stability. While the pickups aren't the DiMarzios fans might hope for, they deliver versatile tones that shine in both clean and overdriven settings. A minor inconvenience is the allen-key adjustment for the tremolo bar. Overall, the JP60 is a versatile, ergonomic guitar that will satisfy John Petrucci fans and rock enthusiasts alike.

Awesome, versatile

I really like this model and I am not a huge Sterling/Ernie Ball fan, it just is very versatile and I find myself playing it very often

R

In my opinion the best 600$ guitar I’ve ever played

So I put in a SH 6 at the bridge and a Liquifire at the neck like it’s Daddy the JP6 so I may have a little more invested 😂🇺🇸

Great guitar

This was my first Ernie Ball/Sterling guitar. I really wanted to EBMM JP6 but at the time was not able to afford one. I bought this guitar for about 750$ CDN at the time. For the price you are getting a great guitar better than any Fender or Gibson at the price range. The guitar is very close to a JP6 except for a few features like the piezo. The neck doesn't feel the same as well but is still very nice.
