tapeop.com

The Vintech X73i impresses as a budget-friendly nod to the iconic Neve 1073, capturing that sought-after sound with a few modern twists. It offers sonic versatility with additional EQ frequencies and ergonomic improvements like center-notched pots and robust mini-toggles. While purists might lament the non-concentric knobs and lack of output meters, these changes help keep costs down without sacrificing audio quality. The X73i shines in both studio and live settings, transforming lackluster instruments into rich, vibrant sounds. Despite minor trade-offs, it remains a faithful, soulful reproduction that's hard to beat at its price point.

ala Neve 1073

I needed a good preamp in the area of a Neve 1073, in which was out of reach financially for me. Through extensive researching, I found the Vintech to be a Cost-effective alternative to getting the replication of the Classic Neve 1073. This is a great unit.

Love it !!!

The preamp has a very big and wide, creamy and musical sound. Its not that natural as you here the source but is a wonder...The eq gives some shine or body. The unit has that neve flavour,by real... Works good on everything ...
