Critic Reviews

Yamaha EZ-220 Review (UPDATED: 2025) - Is this Keyboard Good?

pianoreport.com

The Yamaha EZ-220 is an appealing choice for beginners with its touch-sensitive, light-up keys and the Yamaha Education Suite, offering a robust learning experience. It's portable and has decent sound for its price. Connectivity is a plus, though limited to IOS apps. However, the lack of weighted keys may hinder transition to acoustic pianos, and its standard design might not impress those seeking premium aesthetics. Overall, it's a solid, if not standout, entry-level keyboard.

Responsive, quiet keys with a large library of sounds

A compact keyboard with nice sound, reverb and quiet keys

While, like most digital keyboards, the sounds aren't anything to write home about, they do provide a bit of variety, and every so often, you'll find a preset you like.
