Frank Iero
Frank Iero's Guitars
Frank Iero is shown playing a Epiphone Les Paul Custom.
Epiphone Elitist Series Les Paul Custom - This is arguably Frank's most iconic guitar. Played through most of the Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge era shows until it was destroyed at a show for MTV. Pansy can be seen in the background on the wall of an Instagram post from November 27th 2019 with Frank taking selfies with his dog.

The guitar in this picture is actually a Les Paul Custom, rather than a Les Paul Standard as originally posted. Les Paul Customs are characterized by block inlays rather than trapezoids and the diamond inlay on the headstock. The pick up switch is removed as he usually has the neck pick removed.
He designed this guitar with Epiphone to make a lighter guitar than the Les Paul Elitest series guitars with the same sound, plus some modifications.
"This guitar was from the first run of Epiphone Phantomatics that we made available to the public. “Dead Mickey”, named for the decapitated Mickey Mouse I made and affixed to it, became one of my main guitars for the World Contamination Tour until she was smashed on stage and decommissioned. Appears on My Chem Live at XFM, MTV’s Live in Valencia Spain, MCR iTunes performance live in London (one of my favorite shows I ever played as well as one of my favorite live recordings we ever made [Available on itunes!]. Some shows while you’re playing them you think to yourself, wow, this is a special one, I’m gonna remember this forever. This was one of those shows), and many other live shows." - Frank

"This was the 2nd edition variant of the Phantomatics I designed for Epiphone that were available to the public. This particular green Phanto was used extensively during the Danger Days World Contamination tour and appears on My Chem’s Jimmy Fallon appearance where we performed the songs 'Destroya' and 'The Kids From Yesterday.'" - Frank
Frank Iero is seen using an Epiphone SG G-400 in a photo uploaded to Fanpop, indicating his use of the guitar prior to the Black Parade tour.
From the tuning pegs on the headstock, it should indicate that this is a Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s.

"This was a favorite guitar for many years around the release of the Black Parade. I used it to play "I Don’t Love You" on Jay Leno and various other stages and tv performances. I brought it out again years later on my solo tours with the Patience." - Frank
In this interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo8uYUnHqwY with musicians friend, at around 0:49, Frank states that he used to use the Les Paul elitist series. Some of his most notable guitars during the Revenge Era, including "Pansy" were part of the Epiphone Elitist line.
"After Pansy, my main Les Paul, started to show signs of extreme wear and tear I ended up getting a few new Epiphone Elitist Les Pauls in the fleet to take some of the heavy lifting off the old girl and let Pansy stay at home for a rest. These 4 Guitars were named (and stickered) “BELA” and “TEXAS”, both after my dogs rip. And “NEW” and “JERSEY” after my home. “BELA”, “TEXAS”, and “JERSEY” all left my possession somehow or another, gifted to close friends or sold for charity. But “NEW” has sat in my closet graveyard since the day she was smashed on stage… until now. If you went to any of the later My Chem Revenge shows then you probably saw this guitar on stage and heard it in your earholes." - Frank

"This Les Paul was a main stay of mine for many years during My Chem’s Revenge and Black Parade Touring cycles until it was smashed on stage. This particular guitar was used on MCR’s David Letterman appearance playing Not Ok, on Jimmy Kimmel playing Helena, on much of the MTV 2 dollar bill show from the Revenge era, and countless other performances." - Frank
"damn, i'm really loving this @jmascis signature @fender squire jazzmaster i picked up....so many songs left in her just waiting to be discovered. p.s. Thank you Atlanta for a wonderful night, positive and inspiring. i am incredibly grateful. xofrnk"
He uses this guitar throughout the entire video.
"This was the first Les Paul I ever owned, given to me on my 16th birthday by my dad. I played many shows with it as a teen in the 90’s and it was my main guitar on my very first tour with Pencey Prep. Eventually smashed on stage, this was the one that got me started playing Epiphone Les Pauls." - Frank
