In this interview he says he likes to use Sunn Beta Leads because they're lightweight and sound good.
During a workshop at Rockacademy in Bangkok on April 19, 2013, Ichirou Agata of Melt Banana used the Electro-Harmonix HOG Harmonic Octave Generator in combination with a looper pedal to modify his guitar signal. This setup is documented in a YouTube video by Scream Loud.
If you scroll down on this page a little bit he says he likes to use Gibson SG's.
Agata – Gibson SG. It is lightweight. & the headstock is big enough. I can’t play a guitar that has small headstock, I don’t know why though. The size of an old SG’s neck fits me too
Ichirou Agata played the Kaossilator live in Melt-Banana Lite’s 2009 tour with Melt-Banana, as seen in this photo published in Noisecreep on December 1, 2009.

The Boss RV-5 is the last pedal on the second row of Agata's 'board in this youtube video ("Melt Banana - Workshop w/ Agata Ichiro @ Rockacademy 4/19/2013 Bangkok Thailand"), and it appears to be the last in the chain, using the mono output.
You can see that it is the RV-5 as the text on the footswitch indicates both stereo inputs and stereo outputs. The RV-3 is mono input to stereo out, and the RV-6 has a metallic-looking backing behind the control knobs, so we can deduce from that, that it is the RV-5.
