KT Tunstall's Gear
In this video, KT Tunstall explains how she uses a loop pedal live. The Akai E2 Headrush is present from very early on in the video.
This pedal is used by Tunstall ever since her recording career began. Also, it is the integral part of her pedalboard- according to the Premier Guitar's rig rundown.
In the YouTube video titled "KT TUNSTALL invisible empire," KT Tunstall is seen playing a Washburn R314KK Parlor Guitar, equipped with an LR Baggs M1 Active magnetic pickup. This guitar differs from the Washburn R320SWRK Parlor Guitar, as the R314KK features a laminated top and sides, along with snowflake and dot fret marker inlays, unlike the solid spruce and rosewood construction and "Tree of Life" inlay of the R320SWRK.
Used by KT at Camp Bestival '16; it's a White 1975 Gretsch Falcon.
"The hollow-body Falcon was originally rented for the Brit Awards, where she wanted to make her segment look as if it were in black and white. She was so smitten with the guitar her label bought it for her." - KT's Equipment Picks (from an interview published in Acoustic Guitar May 2008) [http://forums.kttunstall.com/viewtopic.php?t=3487]
"After 15 years of using exactly the same pedal board, I am finally ripping it up and starting again. Same idea, but using the @roland_us RC30 looper plus some of their great #fx pedals with beautiful big fat pads that I can trigger without even looking down! It's just the beginning, but exciting (and scary!!) to learn new gear."
The guitar is played at 13:50 approx.
KT's seen using an LG-2 in the video; seems to be decorated with "//" stripes on the top, as seen on her "Invisible Empire // Crescent Moon" album art.
According to Premier Guitar's rig rundown, this is the "electric edge" guitar used by Tunstall. Apart from having the vibrato removed, it has no modifications.
Tunstall uses 2 of the Supro Statesman amplifiers- one for the performances, and one for the backup.
KT Tunstall is seen using a Gibson Dove Acoustic Guitar, as shown in a photo provided by Gibson.
One of her main guitars, it can be seen from 0:13 onwards in the video; "... she has a black custom Elvis Presley Dove with a white pickguard and stars on the fretboard." - KT's Equipment Picks (from an interview published in Acoustic Guitar May 2008) [http://forums.kttunstall.com/viewtopic.php?t=3487]
