    Source
  • One owner reported that the pedal maintained its performance and tone quality even when purchased lightly used, underscoring its durability.

The Boss OD-1X Overdrive is a modern twist on a classic pedal, offering sharp and clear overdrives with extensive tonal control. It's praised for its unique sound, thanks to Boss's Multi-Dimensional Processing technology, providing a distinct and dynamic overdrive experience. While it stands out with its shiny design and responsive performance, its price might be a drawback for some. Overall, the OD-1X is a worthy investment for those seeking a different overdrive sound.

Amazing

Great tone, perfect for rock n roll. Would recommend for any guitarist.

From Gear Setup
E

great pedal - one of my favourite drives

ok so it is a digital drive and maybe not one for the purists, but I really like the tones I can get from this. Quite a transparent clean drive which allows each note to shine through

afbob

Great overdrive

Love the sound, I've upgraded now but this is still great for when I need it

Y

It is a great not only overdrive but distortion pedal

The price is higher that the usual boss pedals as it is a more special pedal because when the drive knob is set on maximum it gives a great distortion and can be used as a distortion pedal only. With all these i features i would recommend having one of these amongst your stompboxes.

W

Top stuff from BOSS

I like this pedal as it gives a level of EQ too so you can trim the levels, pushes a really nice OD too.

alexfirthguitar

It sounds artificial

When I first got the OD1X, I loved it - this was before I tried the Marshall Guv'nor. Then I realized that the overdrive just sounded fake - it tried to be a classic overdrive pedal.

lucascappucci

Good pedal

That's the first pedal I've owned and I couldn't complain about it

paulglover

If you need one pedal this is it.

Best drive pedal full stop. umber transparent and acts like an amp. truly great.

"Yes. I’ve been messing around with a lot of stuff. [I’m] always swapping something out and making room because there’s only so much room in the place. I recommend highly the new DS-1X, and the new OD-1X is really cool too. That has a really cool sound. You can use it on its own, or you can put it in front of a dirty amp."
