Supro 1305 Drive Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Supro 1305 "Drive" pedal successfully captures the essence of vintage Supro amps with its dynamic and organic drive. Praised for its warm, primitive dirt and mimicry of power-tube distortion, it provides a rich palette of Americana tones. However, the tone control's subtlety in rich mode can be a drawback for those looking to tame the higher frequencies. Despite this minor limitation, the pedal shines in delivering authentic midrange grunt, making it a strong choice for players seeking those classic, swampy tones.

Supro 1305 Drive review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Supro 1305 Drive pedal offers a robust build with 18-volt capability and easy battery access, making it a viable choice for guitarists seeking the classic Supro amp overdriven sound. The added socket for an expression pedal enhances control, providing dynamic tonal possibilities from clean boosts to gritty, low-wattage drive. While the knob design could use improvement due to visibility issues, the pedal's original design distinguishes it from the plethora of near-clones on the market. Overall, it's a solid, expressive pedal for those chasing authentic, vintage tones.

Fuzzy overdrive

It's too fuzzy for an overdrive. I use it like more like a distortion pedal instead of using it like an overdrive pedal. The expression jack control is nifty though, it helps me alternate between clean and dirty sounds.
