He says he mainly uses it on his touring board, as studios they record in usually have an original Klon pedal.

"I start with the Adaptive Distortion because I use Marshall 800s...when you drive them with a good overdrive or distortion pedal they break up really well and they sound crunchy and huge," says Lee Malia, at 1:28 in this video.
