Happy Easter...

Visited my dad. He gave me a set of pipes he bought in Turkey about 35 years ago. We smoked some "Burly Virginia" tobacco and then ate some Age prime rib-eyes.

Well... she goes into great detail about how the wife of the Scientology leader and a personal friend of hers went missing for 5 years and wasn't allowed to be contacted. She was assumed dead by non-members. Eye Wide Shut could be very close to the real scientology.

I am Jack's raging bile duct.

Last book I went through was the Leah Remini book, "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology".

I dug it. I was most interested in all the spooky cult stuff.

X Men v Avengers

I hate it when people claim Batman doesn't kill anyone. He's killed so many people. He used to just throw people into danger or break their necks.

True. After 3 hours, I was able to put my attention elsewhere. He'll have 157677 hours to go.

Telecaster vs Stratocaster

Strats don't look like a nerd guitar. This is why they win.

I was watching Batman. That trumps everything else.

X Men v Avengers

Flash VS Spiderman would be a tie I think. It's been mentioned that Spider-Man's Spidey Sense is overpowered and can in theory, avoid any and all attacks. They are both comic relief, cocky, and brilliant though so... It would be enjoyable.

Wonder Woman's Sword VS Thor's Hammer

Her sword is a God weapon just like his. Thor really only has the hammer, but Dianna has a bunch of items she's either been given from the God's, or just taken from them. Her bracers, lasso, sword, shield, tiara, earrings, and her amulet. She's literally covered in magical items meant to defeat gods. I don't consider the invisible jet... and neither should anyone else.

I'm not a super fan of either, but I would pay $10 to watch a movie of the two fighting it out. Animated or otherwise.

X Men v Avengers

By my thoughts, the only Avengers that win against their counterparts are Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch. Flash and Spider-man tie, and Thor and Wonder Woman tie with maybe a slight edge to Wonder Woman.

X Men v Avengers

I thought of one today and batted it around for a while in class.

Justice League VS Avengers

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern, Aqua Man, Cyborg

VS

Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Hawkeye

Best, worst, and unitentionally funiest lyrics

Most of Priest's song were written about his sexual life. Turbo Lover, Eat me alive, Hell Bent for Leather, Burnin Up, Shoe Shopping Demon, Before the Dawn, and Pain and Pleasure for starters all have really blatant gay erotica.

When Halford came out, he actually told people that if they listened to his lyrics, they would have known he was gay and that he never tried hiding it. People saw what they wanted to see in him, even though the leather, chaps, and mustaches were all coming straight from the S&M clubs.

Whenever this song plays, I purposely sing the wrong lyrics. If I am ever in a situation where I can sing karioke... I will sing this... or The Saga Begins over American Pie.

You are welcome.

Best, worst, and unitentionally funiest lyrics

Best - Send the children to the fire, sons and daughters stacked up hire, stoke the flame of the empire, live to lie another day.

Worst - My body stay vicious, I be up in the gym just working on my fitness, He's my witness (oh, wee), I put yo' boy on rock, rock

Funniest - The chorus to "The Fox Says"

Where is the very first place that new music is accessible to the public????

I remember when Tool leaked "The Pot" way before 10,000 Days was finished.

Movies That NEED A Sequel

Alien and Aliens I recommend all day long. I have the huge Quadrilogy box set that has an additional 40 minutes or so of footage for Aliens. It really enhances the film and it is a shame they couldn't release it in it's full glory.

Full Metal Jacket I'll watch until Gomer bites a bullet, then it gets boring to me. I just like the drill sergeant comedy.

USB Interface help

You should always spend a little extra cash for something that you will like, and will be around a while.

I use a Behringer Xenyx 1204USB. Its tough, never overheats, and has served me well.

Everyones top 5 bands.

My tastes change over time. There was a time when I would have said Metallica, Megadeth, TOOL, Pantera, and Lamb of God. Now, I don't enjoy any of these that much. I can still throw 3 of each though.

Metallica

Fight Fire with Fire, Shortest Straw, Enter Sandman (It's the first non-church song I ever heard)

Megadeth

Five Magics, Washington is Next, Wake Up Dead

TOOL

Lateralus, Ticks and Leeches, Eulogy (I hate the message, but love everything else)

Pantera

Domination, Cemetary Gates, Cowboys from Hell

Lamb of God

Hourglass, One Gun, Now You've Got Something to Die For

This week, based on what I'm learning/playing is as follows.

Jackson 5, No Doubt, The Eagles, Stone Temple Pilots, Aerosmith.

I'm not a super fan of these bands either, but I am listening to them often to learn their biggest hits.

Is Rickenbacker cutting corners?

No guitar or bass should be considered all set up upon purchase in my opinion. Every tech will set it up the way THEY like it or the way they THINK it's supposed to be. Take that, as well as climate changes and travel and you will usually have a slightly different setup than the one they made in the factory.

When you adjusted the neck, did you just buy an Alan wrench? Usually new instruments come with an Alan wrench for just this purpose.

I HATE Nirvana. It's one of the bands that always get me to turn the channel if I'm driving with the radio on. I still enjoyed the film.

They should reopen the case. Makes me think Courtney and Cali both killed him.

Soaked in Bleach

The film goes on to say that they were fixing to get divorced and they had a prenuptial agreement that would have left her with a very small settlement. 9 days before his death, Kurt was in rehab in LA. He allowed visits from his daughter and the nanny, but not Courtney. She ended up calling the rehab 13 times looking to speak with him and she was denied per his request. The last time he was seen was when he left LA and visited his friend and his friend's girlfriend, Cali was his name? Well, when Kurt left Cali's house, Cali called Courtney and told her about the visit. Courtney called Cali 8 or so times that day. The very next day, she hired her own private investigator and told HIM that the last anyone saw him was 4 days prior to the Cali visit.

Some of the most damning evidence is all the physical evidence at the crime scene. The shotgun shell flew out of an automatic shotgun, a Remington M11, while the gun was upside down. The shell would have shot to Kurt's right, but it was found on the left of the room. Forensics said it would be possible to bounce off an object and land where it did if an object was about 2 feet off the ground and to Kurt's right. The crime scene photos show there was NOTHING to his right but empty floor and about 15 ft of bare floor before the wall. Magic.

When the investigator starting asking Courtney hard questions, on audiotape, she started to trip up and get answers wrong. He asked her why she didn't tell him Kurt was seen and she was notified 1 day before his hire. She played dumb. He said to call Cali over so he can ask him about that last time. Courtney snuck Cali up stairs as soon as he was there, got him wasted on Heroin, and THEN brought him down stairs for the interview. Cali couldn't speak full sentences he was so wasted. Courtney just watched from across the room during the interview.

I'm telling you, this film really makes her look guilty. If it were all hear-say from all the people who were there at the time, it MIGHT be different, but a lot of this is recorded on audio tape and has Courtney saying all the stuff herself. Even the "suicide letter" sounds fake. It shows two sets of handwriting and the second set says stereotypical suicide stuff. "Shell be better of without me alive, yada yada". On audio, the private eye looks under the mattress and pillows of the family bed and finds a bottle of Rufees. A day or so after, Courtney says she found a yellow envelope with a suicide note in it to her that she said she found under the pillows. The detective, who did this all on recording and with a witness, said he searched the whole bed and only found the pills. Courtney just kept saying "No, it was just right there under my pillow".

Anybnody heard the new polyphia album

What I appreciate about BTBAM, even though I no longer listen to them, is that they sound exactly the same Live as they do on the album. They do a great job of setting the audio for each show.

Soaked in Bleach

Netflix put up a new documentary on the Kurt Kobain death which has audio recordings of Courtney Love with the private detective she hired, the police chief at the time, Kurt's friends, forensics analysts, and then some, detailing why they all believe it was a murder. It's pretty riveting if you ask me. I had heard before the conspiracy that maybe Courtney Love had him murdered, but no evidence was ever really given with it. It usually was spouted out by some trendy millennial just discovering Nirvana in the 2000's and attempting to look deep.

This doc gives actually crime scene photos and recordings though. It just pretty much nails Courtney Love as a suspect. I'm really surprised they haven't reopened this case.

Hand to hand I agree. Thor can rush her and take her out with physical attacks quickly. Just the power of their elemental abilities though? I've heard that Storm can control weather on a global scale. I think Thor's storms are only over a county or so.

X Men v Avengers

Oh, now that you brought it up, I forgot about Onslaught himself. He is Magneto and Xavier in one body. He killed all of the X-Men before in Bishop's timeline, even though the cartoon of the 90's tried to say it was Nimrod :/

Xavier isn't the only X-man with the mind wipe either. Emma Frost does it often because, Charles Xavier sees it as a dastardly deed to destroy someone's mind like that. She doesn't care though and is morally untethered. Xaviar could be taken out though. If nothing else, his personality may get in the way of his survival. If he dies though, Onslaught would likely be back and if he doesn't, the X-Men will be fueled to drop their beliefs and go for the jugular.

I propose this question. Who is more a threat? Thor with his powers or Storm with hers?

X Men v Avengers

I keep thinking back to some of the X-Men villains. A lot of them I think would intervene just to protect fellow mutants. Apocalypse and Magneto for example would likely just attack the Avengers and their allies on their own to make sure the mutant race is put in a more dominant position. Avengers doesnt really have a lot of villains that would look to rid the world of just mutants. Dr. Doom would definately wait for an openning in attacking both sides, but not just the X-Men.

Of course, if little Richards is on Team X-men, he commands Galactus now like a pet, so we would see yet another planet destroyer against the Avengers. I just don't think they can hack it for long. Even if you gave them some of the former Xmen/Avenger members like Wolverine, it wouldn't do much in the way of the beings who can alter time, space, reality, and matter.

It would however be fun to watch Dr. Strange be chased down by Cable, Bishop, and Sabretooth through time.

X Men v Avengers

The X-Family is pretty large itself though.

X-Force, Excalibur, New Mutants, X-corps, Morlocks, The Brotherhood, Muir Island X-Men, Genoshan X-men, The Hellions, MI:13, Alpha Squadron, Alpha Flight, The Inhumans, The Starjammers, ... ehhem.... the SHI'AR EMPIRE. Avengers would shit their pants if the likes of Gladiator came down to defend the X-Men.

Avengers have financial superiority and likely a world government network that is far more favorable than the X-Men, but X-men have those sweet genetics and a history with those like them. The intergalactic relationships really tip the scales. Mind you, my prior post was taking away some of the most overpowered X-men ties.

I think a lot of peoples' laurels are resting on Hulk. I'm on the red side of the Hulk VS Juggernaut argument. Hulk has been blasted down to just his bones and survived, but just survived. Juggernaut was taken down to his skeleton and STILL FOUGHT, allowing Cytorak to fuel him with the hatred needed to keep going. The Juggernaut powers being in Colossus is just unfair for Hulk.
