Cory Hanson's Gear
"You're right, it has to be a pitch-shifting delay, probably into another delay... ...aaaand it's a motherloving PitchFactor. But true to his crew he's using a Fuzz War." -M2JOHNSON on Cory's pedal techniques with manipulating delay and feedback.
I asked Cory about pedals on Instagram and this is what he said about dirt pedals on Ganglion Reef and Plum:
"There's no fuzzes on Plum! Not a single one. I used a box of rock for most of it... and a Ross compressor always on. On ganglion Reef I used one of those little silicon fuzz face minis. They rule! Need to pick one up again. I love them"
"Specifically, I'm certain that it begins with a Boss tuner and the Eventide PitchFactor is going into a Death By Audio Fuzz War followed by a Ross Phaser. My best guess for the first pedal after the tuner, looking at the knobs, power supply, and cover art, is the Catalinbread Echorec. I don't think the specific pedals are as important as the very unorthodox chain order." -M2JOHNSON on Cory's pedalboard when playing live with Wand
In a 2017 AMA with Wand Cory said “I use a ross compressor->crowther hotcake->zvex box of rock->Jext Telez Dizzy Tone(red)->dunlop echoplex”
