Description

Rev up your sound with the B.C. Rich Ironbird Special FR, a solid body electric guitar that merges aggressive aesthetics with versatile functionality. Designed for musicians who crave a standout stage presence, this guitar doesn't just look fierce—it delivers explosive tones that are perfect for both shredding solos and intricate rhythm parts.

At the heart of the Ironbird Special FR is its Floyd Rose Special bridge, providing rock-solid tuning stability and smooth dive-bombs. The body is crafted from mahogany, known for its warm resonance and sustain, while the maple neck ensures a bright, snappy response. The neck-through construction offers improved access to the upper frets, giving you the freedom to explore the full range of the fretboard with ease.

Perfect for metalheads and hard rock enthusiasts, the B.C. Rich Ironbird Special FR is as much a visual statement as it is a sonic powerhouse.

Facebook post Nov 2014: Every once in a while I get asked 'what ever happened to that BC Rich guitar you used in the 'We Came To Rock' vid. That was my primary guitar for the whole first BR tour. When we went in to do our second cd I got a 'LADO' guitar endorsement and I then retired the BC Rich. It's been basically just sitting in a case for the past 25 years. I bought it in 1985 (serial #0053) & it's a little rare because it's a one piece guitar - not a bolt on neck. . All the ones in the late 80's are all bolt on necks. Decided to go revisit the old 'Bird' & sure enough it still plays & sound killer. - accompanied by photo
