Bose SoundLink Mini II review: A great Bluetooth speaker gets even better - CNET

cnet.com

The Bose SoundLink Mini II is a stylish, compact Bluetooth speaker that impresses with its solid build and improved 10-hour battery life. It features a sleek aluminum design, a charging cradle, and a built-in microphone for calls. While the sound is excellent for its size, boasting a warm and natural tone, it lacks stereo separation and can't pair with another speaker for a stereo effect. It excels with acoustic genres but struggles with complex tracks at high volumes. Overall, it's a top contender in the compact speaker category with thoughtful enhancements over its predecessor.

Bose SoundLink Mini II review | TechRadar

techradar.com

The Bose SoundLink Mini II may be old, but it's still a heavyweight champion in sound quality. Despite lacking modern features like NFC, multipoint Bluetooth, and water resistance, this compact speaker delivers exceptional audio. Its robust build and impressive bass performance set it apart from rivals, making it a top choice for audiophiles who prioritize sound over frills. However, with only 10 hours of battery life and a hefty price tag, it might not appeal to those seeking the latest features. Still, for pure sound quality under $200, it's hard to beat.

Bose SoundLink Mini II review | What Hi-Fi?

whathifi.com

The Bose SoundLink Mini II impresses with its portable, robust design and full-bodied sound, especially for its compact size. Its standout feature is the weighty bass, which adds depth to music playback. However, the speaker struggles with precision and agility in the low end, which can overshadow the detail in busier tracks. While it handles acoustic tunes well, adding bass-heavy elements can compromise clarity. Despite this, it competes well in its price range, making it a solid choice for those prioritizing bass in a portable package. Consider alternatives like the Audio Pro Addon T3 for more balanced sound.

Bought it to listen music, using as a guitar amp

This thing sounds big and I mainly use it to listen music. But when I need to practice guitar & I'm to lazy to bring out the big amp, I plug in my Marshall MS-2R Mini Amp.. the result is pretty amazing.
