Chicken Picks - Full Review - Guitar Pick Reviews

Chicken Picks deliver fast, precise performance with an impressive tonal range and remarkable durability. Despite skepticism about their longevity claims, their bright, clear sound and excellent grip make them a worthy addition to any guitarist's arsenal. While priced at a premium, the long-lasting nature of these picks justifies the cost. A must-try for those seeking a reliable, high-performing pick, although personal preference may still sway towards traditional materials.

diy-fever.com

Chicken Picks deliver a loud, bright tone with their unique thermosetting plastic and sharp, pointed design, reminiscent of bone or stone. These durable picks require a break-in period, initially producing a scratchy sound on acoustics. The Badazz model excels in precision but has a non-symmetrical shape that can feel awkward. The Shredder pick, though hefty, offers versatility for various styles, including acoustic play. While the grip is decent, they aren't the grippiest picks available. At $8-$9 each, they are affordable within the boutique category, offering longevity and tonal enhancement. Overall, a compelling choice for those seeking a distinct sound and feel.

ChickenPicks Guitar Picks Review

guitar.com

ChickenPicks impress with their high-mass design and innovative features, enhancing tone and comfort. While they may initially seem daunting, these picks quickly prove their worth by offering improved tonal breadth and subtle variations in sound. Though not a magic fix for tone, they offer a noticeable enhancement, particularly with electric guitars, providing a richer bass and sharper treble. However, the tone can be overly bright on acoustics for some tastes. With a variety of shapes and thicknesses, they cater to diverse playing styles. At a modest price, they’re a worthy experiment for any guitarist seeking to tweak their sound.

Worth a cluck

Chicken picks may be expensive, but they're some of the most durable and long lasting picks I've played. Using standard picks I would wear out an average of 1 per week, but a single chicken pick lasts me atleast a couple months, and even then its not really that "worn" (I just prefer pointier tips) That and they're extremely comfortable to play and deliver a sharp attack to your strings.

Good for all players

It does not wear, pinch harmonics are way easier, and it feels great. I wish there was a better grip, but it’s still good. I mainly use the 2.2mm standard shape.
