Dean Razorback V 255 review | MusicRadar

The Dean Dime Razorback V 255 Explosion is a formidable metal guitar, offering monster tones and a cool concept that challenges the original Razorback V design. With its longer 25.5-inch scale and 24 frets, it caters well to down-tuned riffing. The active EMG 81/85 humbuckers deliver immense power and clarity, making it a standout for metal enthusiasts. However, its high price tag could be a barrier for some. Overall, it's hailed as a metal guitar of the year, praised for its evolved design and exceptional playability.

Very cool, but...

It's an amazing guitar, very well built, and designed to Dime's specs. But the neck on the razorbacks is very awkward when you're used to playing a thin neck, and the floyd rose is a pain in the neck if you don't have a guitar tech to do the work for you. Great tone, but awkward to play. More of a collector's piece for me.
