Description

JellyFish is our take on the classic Small Clone chorus with modern features. The pedal was designed to be as low noise as possible: for input and dry/wet mixing stages, it uses Hi-Fi Burr-Brown™ OPA2134 op-amp and runs NOS MN3007 on 15V internally from standard 9V power supply (don't try to feed the pedal with a power supply higher than 9V). The pedal uses a soft footswitch in combination with an Attiny microcontroller and a relay for switching bypass. In addition, turning the pedal off/on allows to temporarily enable/disable it using long-press (longer than 250ms).

Controls:

Rate - modulation rate level, blue LED indicates the current speed. Depth - chorus depth level. Color - delayed (wet) signal tone-shaping allows making an effect super bright or dark and mellow. Mix - controls the delayed (wet) signal mixed with the original (dry) one, making the effect more or less pronounced. Range switch - toggles tree depth range options: Clone (same as classic Small Clone), Leslie (less pronounced, at higher speeds sounds similar to Leslie speaker), and Blur (most dramatic one, detuned signal). LED brightness trimmers - placed on the PCB trimmers allow you to adjust the status and rate LED brightness. Volume trimmer - placed on the PCB trimmer allows you to adjust the output level, so you will not get a volume drop like in many other analog choruses on the market. Bypass footswitch - switch bypass, could be used momentary-on long-press (> 250ms). Power Supply: 9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. Don't try to power the pedal with voltages higher than 9V - this will damage electronics. The pedal uses a chip to run the circuit on 18V. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.

Guitar Pedal X - News - Vitalii Bobrov's Drunk Beaver Jellyfish MN3007 Analog BBD Chorus has that elegant sparkly brightness that so many players love

guitarpedalx.com

Drunk Beaver's Jellyfish MN3007 Analog BBD Chorus captures the sparkling essence that so many players crave, offering an elegant and bright modulation experience. With five external controls and three distinct modes, it allows for a wide variety of tones, from classic chorus to rotary speaker effects. While the pedal shines in its sonic capabilities, the absence of a tap-tempo feature is noted as a missed opportunity. Additionally, the 80s-inspired color scheme may not appeal to everyone, though it may grow on you. Priced at $200, the Jellyfish stands out as a delightful addition for those seeking character in their chorus effects, despite some subjective aesthetic choices.
