Description
Meet the TC Electronic Corona Mini, a compact yet powerful chorus effects pedal that is designed to bring out the best in your guitar's tone. With its intuitive controls for depth, speed, and FX-level, you can effortlessly dial in your desired sound, from subtle shimmering layers to intense swirling textures.
But what sets the Corona Mini apart is the TonePrint feature. This unique technology allows you to load custom-made sounds from the free TonePrint app (available for both iPhone and Android) directly onto the pedal, essentially giving you an unlimited array of tonal possibilities at your fingertips. Want to mimic the chorus tones of your favorite guitarist? Simply beam them onto the Corona Mini using the TonePrint technology.
Another standout feature is its True Bypass functionality, ensuring your signal passes through unaltered when the pedal is off. It also features an Analog Dry Through design, which keeps your dry signal path untouched while blending in the chorus effect.
Please note that the Corona Mini requires a 9V DC power adapter (not included) and cannot be operated with batteries.

Cool!
Default sound is not bad at all, but it gets cooler with toneprint. I'm using DC-2 clone sound toneprint produced by sweetwater, which is pretty close to the original sound. Compared to DC-2W, Corona mini is useful in that you can change the depth continuously. Since Corona mini does not have a tone-control knob, if you want lo-fi chorus sound for example, the original Corona may be better choice.

TonePrints are cool, but not for everyone
I like TonePrints. They're very cool. They're overwhelming for some. If you don't want to nitpick and customize your chorus effect, just get your preferred Boss version or a Small Clone. As micro sized chorus effects go, this is your best bet though.

Learn how to use toneprints
I use this chorus all the time and have the toneprint set to drastically change the chorus win a slight turn of a knob making it basically 4 different choruses.

Mini Corona Chorus
I got this chorus pedal because it was cheap. I really hate it and I'm waiting to get another Small Clone because my last one got destroyed.

what do you hate about it and how does the tone differ from the small clone (which everyone has tried)

I just can't get the sound I want from it, I can't even get something similar. I don't like how it's more complicated than the small clone. Personally, I think Electro-Harmonix created the perfect chorus pedal with the Small Clone.

Gillard starts his pedal chain by running straight into a TC Electronic PolyTune tuner. From there, in order of signal flow, the sound hits a Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive Mod, an original Landgraff Dynamic Overdrive, a pair of Boss GE-7 Equalizers, TC Electronic Corona Mini Chorus, Boss PS-6 Harmonist, and an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Neo. The whole board is powered with a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2+.
