Description
Introducing the DW Collectors Maple Drum Kit, a drum set that strikes an impeccable balance between classic aesthetics and modern technology. This 4-piece drum set, straight from the DW Custom Shop, comes with an exquisite set of Ringoesque Delmar FinishPly wraps that not only add a vintage touch to your setup but also enhance the deep, rich tones produced by the cutting-edge SSC maple shells.
The DW Collector's Maple Drum Kit truly stands apart with its SSC (Specialized Shell Configuration) technology. This unique feature means that DW chooses the best shell construction for each drum in the set. The sturdy hardware, including graduated True-Hoops, high-thread True-Pitch 50 tension screws, and tone-enhancing tom legs and mounts, ensure tour-ready durability and precision performance. This drum kit is a testament to DW's commitment to tone-enhancing innovations and glamorous finish options.

In this video David tries out a DW collectors maple drum kit. David states that he likes how sturdy the drums are. This allowed him to really lay into the drums. He also liked how resonant, and easy to tune the drums were. One of the things that he doesn't like is the price. David states that you can get a similar sounding kit for a lot cheaper. He also didn't like that he had to get new tom mounts to fit the drums. the DW kit uses a fatter mount. Although david liked how easy the kit stayed in tune, He didn't like that it took forever to tune due to the DW true pitch tension rods. overall David states that he would definitely recommend these drums if you have the money.
