Fender American Performer Precision Bass and Jazz Bass review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Fender's American Performer Jazz Bass delivers classic aesthetics with modern modifications and impressive tonal versatility, though it demands some setup finesse. While the tonal palette is broad, especially with the Precision's rich sound and Jazz's bright clarity, players may find the controls frustratingly binary. Both models feature solid construction and comfortable necks, but a bit of fine-tuning is necessary to optimize playability. At an accessible price point, these basses are suitable for a range of players, but be prepared for some adjustments to make them sing.

Favorite bass I've ever owned.

Praying this thing doesn't have any issues in the future as right now it is easily the best bass I've ever owned. The sound is classic thumbprint Fender J and can be used for quite literally any style of play and any genre of music. I almost don't even want to play my other basses as I just feel so at home with this one.
