i don't own this bass, but played it at the store
if you look up the iron maiden music video of number of the beast, this bass sounds exactly like the tone used it that video without compression. i had the do some fiddling around to get a tone suitable for led zepplin, but it's possible. i'd definitely buy this bass even if your not a iron maiden fan. this is a PRO bass.
