Description

Step back in time with the Fender Classic Series '70s Precision Bass, a modern instrument infused with vintage charm. This bass guitar captures the essence of the era when the Precision Bass transitioned from being a solid rock staple to a versatile powerhouse capable of handling prog, punk, metal, and funk. Crafted with an alder body and a C-shaped maple neck, it offers a seamless blend of durability and comfort. The maple fretboard, adorned with block inlays, is a nod to the distinctive style of the '70s.

The '70s Precision Bass is not just about looks; it's engineered for performance. The split single-coil pickup delivers the punchy, growling tones that made the P-Bass a favorite among bassists worldwide. Whether you're laying down foundational grooves or stepping into the spotlight for a solo, this bass has you covered. Its vintage-style four-saddle bridge ensures stable tuning, while the three-ply black-white-black pickguard and '70s-style Fender-stamped open-gear tuners add a touch of retro flair.

Designed for both classic and contemporary playing styles, this Precision Bass is equipped with knurled control knobs for volume and tone, allowing you to dial in your perfect sound. A bass-side thumb rest, reminiscent of 1974 models, enhances playability and comfort. Fender '70s Precision Bass review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Fender Classic Series '70s Precision Bass is celebrated for its stunning looks and exceptional feel, particularly due to its neck with block inlays and binding. While it competes with numerous P-Bass models, its distinct 1970s flair makes it a standout. The bass delivers a classic P-Bass sound that's warm and robust, although its appeal largely hinges on its aesthetics and playability. Some may find the multitude of P-Bass options overwhelming, but for those drawn to its vintage charm, this Japanese-made model is a worthy addition to Fender's lineup.

The definitive Fender Precision

In my opinion, there is nothing quite like a Fender Precision with a maple neck and fretboard. The block inlays and slightly tighter neck (closer to a Jazz than most beefy P-basses) make this THE Precision for me. Combine those qualities with the handy thumb anchor and the three-tone sunburst and this is pretty perfect.
